Below are some common questions asked by my clients.  If you have a question and you can't find the answer, please contact me directly.

SESSION INFORMATION

1.  What is a session like?

A session with me will give you personalized support and guidance. We'll begin by talking about what you need and how I can help you. Then, we'll jump right in and get started with solid, practical steps for you to take. I'll tailor a program that is specific to your own needs and walk with you step by step until your needs have been met, and often exceeded.

Throughout the entire time you work with me, I'll be your guide. I'll help keep you on track and motivate you through any doubts or difficulties.  I'll help you convert procrastination, stress, and self-limiting behaviors into forward-motion, contentment, and success. For many of us, having someone we answer to motivates us to act and can mean the difference between success and failure.  I am that someone and I will hold you accountable.

My approach is very down-to-earth, friendly and non-intimidating. Your success is my success. Your happiness is my happiness. Making you feel better about yourself and helping you to realize your inborn capacity to heal your body and transform your life is why I love what I do!

2.  Are sessions held in-person or over the phone?

For Local Clients

For clients who live in the Castle Rock / Parker / Lone Tree area of Colorado, sessions are held in your own home, or at a location of your choosing. I strongly prefer for session to be in your home because our living environment often plays a very important role in our state of mind and therefore, our state of health.  If privacy is an issue, we can also meet at an alternate location of your choosing.

For health and nutrition coaching, we will be digging deep into the fridge and food cupboards, as well as visiting the grocery store where you will learn how to differentiate healthy vs. unhealthy foods, identify GMOs, and eliminate pesticides.  This requires your kitchen to participate!

For Remote Clients

For clients who are outside of my local area, all sessions are done via phone or Skype, whichever you prefer.  For skype, my ID is thebodyhealer.  For phone, my call-in information will be sent to you via email when you schedule your appointment.  If you do not receive this information, please check your spam email, and if it's still missing, contact me at  and I'll send it to you.

3.  How do I submit my new client paperwork?

After scheduling your appointment, please make sure you fill out your paperwork PRIOR to our first call.  Simply click on this link and complete the online form.  The data you submit is kept completely confidential and is HIPPA compliant.

PLEASE NOTE:  Your session will be rescheduled if your paperwork is not completed prior to your appointment time. 

4.  What are your fees?

All individual sessions are $120 for 1 hour.  Your credit card (Visa / MC / Amex / Discover) will be charged at the time you schedule your appointment.  This fee is a 1-time charge and I do not keep any client credit card information on file. 

If you choose a program or a 10-session package, this fee will automatically be discounted by 10%.

Do You Accept Insurance?

I do not accept health insurance, but would be more than happy to provide you with a statement to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Contact your insurance company to confirm that they reimburse for out-of-network providers.

5.  How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

When you make your appointment, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
  • 24 hours notice or more:  You will be refunded in full (or be able to schedule a different time). 
  • Less than 24 hours notice:  No refunds will be given for rescheduling or canceling within 24 hours of appointment time.  There is often a waiting list, therefore please schedule your time carefully so that others may be given the opportunity for an appointment if your schedule does not permit the time.

1.  What is The Body Healer Protocol & how can it help me?

When it comes to trying to make our lives better, we often try to change the effect without changing the cause. Whether we are sick, overweight, unhappy, in debt, or feel unable to achieve our goals, we're experiencing an imbalance. Every single thing on this earth is composed of energy vibrating at different frequencies.  Your body and every organ in it has a specific frequency.  Every type of food you eat, every disease that exists, every thought you think, and every lifestyle choice you make also radiates specific frequencies.  Through these things, we either raise or lower the frequency of our body.  We can attract health, wealth, events, objects, and circumstances that are high vibrational in nature and that are the stuff dreams are made of, or we can attract just the opposite—the lower vibrational energy of debt, sickness, unhappy situations, and depression.  By raising your vibrational frequency, you can immediately begin attracting different things into your life that also resonate at these higher frequencies. The Body Healer Protocol will take you by the hand and show you how to do just that.

2.  Why are your programs 3 months?

Honoring the time your body needs to adjust to not only a new way of eating, but a new and healthy approach to living is very important.  There's no room for impatience when it comes to my "Health and Nutrition" and "Natural Healing & Disease Prevention" programs, and it's important to not push too far too fast and shock your system.  It's also critical not to detoxify too quickly, as this can flood the body with too many toxins and make us feel weak and lethargic. The more we try to rush, the more we deprive our body of the time it needs to adapt. This is a common reason for failure.

The bigger the change, the easier you must be on yourself, and changing habits incrementally at a pace you can manage is always the best approach.  Your chances of success are far greater when you transition at a manageable pace, and your chances of falling off the wagon are far higher if you try to reach your destination quicker than your mind and body are ready for.  Perceptions don't change overnight, nor do habits or addictions.  But they will change quickly.

I've found 3 solid months to be the perfect time frame for my clients to build a solid foundation, for new habits to kick in, and for unhealthy addictions and destructive habits to lose their power.  Ingrained habits rarely change overnight, which is why short-term diets don't lead to lasting results or permanent change.  If you want to achieve success, you have to allow time for the foundation of healthy eating and lifestyle choices to take hold, and giving yourself 3 months keeps the light at the end of the tunnel always in your view.  When you give up addictive foods the first few days are always tough, but keep in mind that cravings and urges will pass much sooner than you think!  In fact, addictions begin to lose their power at the 21-30 day mark. 

Every person is unique.  How fast you progress is dependent on where your starting point is and how much work you have to do.  Radical change requires a very high level of discipline that is easier for some people than it is for others. If you've lived on processed food, canned food, and frozen meals for many years and approach the program with a zero-tolerance policy for indiscretions, then the journey in the beginning may be more challenging (but definitely doable!).  Unless you're suffering from a chronic disease, this isn't a time for militancy or an "all-or-nothing" mindset.  It's a time to keep your eyes focused on the end result, and to patiently honor the time it will take for you to adjust to new eating and lifestyle habits.  The good news is that if you're committed, change will happen quickly, and these new habits will soon become a way of life.

3.  I have cancer or a chronic disease.  How can you help me?

Absolutely!  Whether the condition you have is cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, varicose veins, cellulite, or thyroid disease, the answer is always the same.  It is not complicated.  Always begin by replacing unhealthy food and lifestyle habits with healthy ones, and changing the way you think.  Your health potential depends on the speed at which you do this.  This is the only way to the absolute best quality of health and life that you can possibly achieve.  Healing is a process that is accomplished by the body, and only the body, and this is only possible when you remove what harms and provide what heals.

The body must be nurtured with the essentials so that it can flourish, just as most plant life in the natural world require sunshine, healthy soil, clean air, and water for them to grow to their potential.   If the body is deprived of what it needs for basic health, then its gravitates toward ill health and disease.

Whether the condition is reversible or not depends on how far the disease has progressed within the body.  The good news is that the body has a remarkable resilience and capacity to heal itself.  Given what it needs and left to its own devices, many people have seen very serious illnesses resolve naturally over time - sometimes quickly, and sometimes slowly.  Many physical degenerations and "irreparable damage" can be reversed with diet and lifestyle changes, and adopting a different mindset.

There are many doctors who tell patients that their chronic conditions are not curable and will keep them tied to medications for life, or that their condition requires invasive tests and surgeries.  Thousands of patients have proved them wrong and not only reversed their condition naturally, but also fully restored themselves back to health.

By supplying all the conditions of health, the body naturally gravitates towards health.

No matter what your situation, or what the illness is you are suffering from, never ever underestimate the capacity of your body to heal itself.  It's incredibly resourceful, and its natural expression is to always gravitate towards health.  There may be times when irreversible damage or deformity (such as a severed limb) limits our capacity to recover.  In such cases, we can only do our best to maximize our healing potential.  But when it comes to chronic and terminal diseases, there have been countless cases where illnesses were tagged as "terminal" only to have the patient not only survive, but fully recover.

If you have cancer, regardless of what factors were the primary cause of your cancer, research now clearly indicates that how the disease progresses is not just dependent on the type of cancer itself.  No matter what the cancer, it's the internal environment of the body and the health of the immune system that plays the most significant role in influencing how the disease progresses.  Cancer recurrence is dramatically reduced in patients who take specific steps to strengthen their immune system as compared to those undergoing conventional therapy who do not.  

Whatever your health condition, I can teach you how to rebuild your immune system and maximize your chances of a full recovery.

4.  I want to permanently lose weight.  How can you help me?

Yes, absolutely.  Obesity is one of my specialties because I've been there.  I've weighed over 200 lbs and lived the life of non-stop junk food and candy.  I've felt so miserable about my body that I avoided social contact and became severely depressed.  I've jumped on and off the diet merry-go-round and dosed myself on diet pills and supplements.  Really... I've been there.

There are good and bad food and lifestyle choices, and understanding the difference isn't complicated. You'll discover that healthy foods offer an incredible degree of freedom and flexibility. Once you understand the difference and provide your body with the foods tools it needs, it will naturally and intuitively respond by restoring your weight to normalcy. 

If you're looking for the answer on which one diet is better than another, or a list of their benefits and drawbacks, you won't find it here.  If you're looking to be told what to eat and what to avoid without understanding the reasons why some foods will degrade your body and others will heal it, then you're also in the wrong place.  My program is about empowering you with the knowledge to understand what food choices are healthy or unhealthy.  I will show you how to shed all your excess weight, and how to choose foods that not only create a vibrant, healthy body, but that can also propel you into a higher state of being.  I am here to teach you how to cut through the hype and help you understand the principles of healthy living.  Then, you'll never fall for the hype again, and you won't ever need to ask what types of food to eat or whether a diet is healthy or unhealthy - because you'll know for yourself!  

I can promise you this:  You will not be:

  1. Eating foods that make you miserable.
    This is not sustainable.
  2. Living on frozen meals.
    There's nothing healthy about living on frozen meals, most of which contain GMOs, a variety of pesticides, and highly processed ingredients.
  3. Counting calories, measuring portions, or restricting carbs.  
    The only thing you'll need to count is the number of days you have gone without having to do food calculations. Most diets fail because of the restrictions and limitations they impose.
  4. Filling your body with supplements.
    Any diet that tells you to take supplement pills or protein powders is a nutritionally deficient diet - ditch it!  Be especially wary of any diet or nutrition website that tries to sell you their own supplements.
  5. Blaming your weight on your genes.  
    Contrary to popular belief, diseases do not automatically run in families. Genetics accounts for less than 5% of health issues. Clear evidence indisputably shows that we are a product of our environment, not our genes.  The reason we often develop the same diseases and conditions as our parents is not because of our genes, but because of how we are raised, the foods we eat, the emotional environment we are raised in, and the belief systems we adopt.

With my program, you can expect to automatically begin shedding weight at an accelerated pace.  Your weight will begin to normalize as you eliminate toxic waste from your body and integrate healthy food and lifestyle choices into your daily living.  You'll free yourself from the diet merry-go-round for good, and never look back!

5.  Will I have to become a vegetarian or vegan or follow a complicated diet?

Absolutely not.  I don't believe in diets and nor will you by the time you are finished with my program.

However, there are different eating philosophies such as being a vegetarian, vegan, or raw foodist.  If you would like to follow these or a similar philosophy, I will be more than happy to guide you into a successful transition while maintaining healthy food choices.  I myself am a vegetarian.

6.  What kind of yoga do you offer & is it OK if I'm a yoga newbie?

I teach a style of yoga called power vinyasa yoga which involves learning the traditional poses of yoga.  Vinyasa yoga means that the poses are tied together in a flowing sequence so that you move fluidly from one to another, using inhales and exhales.  It can be easily tailored for absolute beginners.  I will teach you some sequences that are easy to remember, and which you can do at home or in your local gym.
